Recreation Department hosting T-shirt design contest | Smoke Signals

Every summer, the Lake Tansi Department of Recreation creates a new design for T-shirts that are sold in the game room. These T-shirts are more than just articles of clothing — they are wearable memorabilia, souvenirs from summer vacations spent at Lake Tansi.

This year, the Recreation Department is doing something a little different. Rather than creating the design themselves for Summer 2017, they are having a T-shirt design contest. Just imagine your very own design printed on T-shirts that are worn by guests visiting from all over the United States.

Here are the guidelines for the contest.

The T-shirt design contest is open to POA members of all ages. Non-POA members may not apply. The design must include the words “Lake Tansi Village.” You may use color or keep it black and white. Pictures and designs are encouraged.

There are two design categories that you may enter: adult T-shirts and children’s T-shirts. You may enter both categories if you wish and can submit as many designs as you would like. There will be one winning design for each category. The winner of each category will have their design framed and displayed in the Thunderbird Recreation Department as well as receive a free t-shirt with their own, personal design on it. The winning designs will be used for the Lake Tansi Summer 2017 T-shirts.

You may submit your designs to the game room attendant at the Thunderbird Recreation Department. All designs must be received on or before March 31. Please write your name, age and phone number on the back of your design entry. The winner(s) will be announced and their designs printed in the April Smoke Signals.

If you would like to enter or if you have questions, call the Thunderbird at 788-6282.
