Lady Gaga is NOT giving up on Hillary Clinton, despite the fact her political career now appears to be over.
The superstar was one of a number of high profile celebs to back the presidential candidate and was left devastated yesterday when Donald Trump was victorious.
She stepped out in New York in a white t-shirt with the words ‘Love Trumps Hate’ emblazoned on the front in blue.
The 28-year-old star matched her top with a bright blue leather jacket, dark jeans, dark boots and a stars and stripes flag pushed through her belt loop.
Gaga managed a slight smile as she strolled through the Big Apple in a pair of huge black shades with her blonde hair tied back.
She previously took to Twitter to blast the billionaire tycoon, writing: “The chaos in USA is the result of Trump’s irresponsible campaigning. He is not a role model, look at this mess he created. # LoveTrumpsHate.”
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton choked back tears today as she delivered the most painful, and potentially the last, major speech of her long career.
Despite having spent more than $500million – twice as much as Republican rival – and deploying thousands of grass roots supporters in her White House bid, the Democrat woke up staring into an abyss.
Clinton, 69, looked shattered and admitted that her defeat cut deep, describing it as “painful” and adding: “It will be for a long time.”
However, she graciously urged her supporters to give Donald Trump a chance to lead – and implored her younger followers to stick to their values and never give up the struggle.
Clinton said: “This loss hurts. But please never stop believing that fighting for what is right is worth it. It is, it is worth it.”
